Charlotte England, 83, of Keokuk, formerly of Canton, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at Lexington Square Care Center in Keokuk.
She was born August 10, 1930, the daughter of Raymond and Violet (Strange) Nicol in Wyaconda, MO.
Charlotte graduated from the Wyaconda High School. She married Albert England on March 20, 1948 at the First Christian Church in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2013.
The Englands first settled in Mitchellville, IA before moving to Des Moines. There Charlotte worked at the AMF as a hostess.
In 1986, the Englands moved to Canton, MO, where they remained until moving to Keokuk in April of last year. Charlotte was an avid collector of porcelain and china dolls. She enjoyed camping. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Richard and Charles, both of Des Moines; a brother, Londale and wife Kay Nicol of Dallas, TX; sister Betty and husband Jerry Amon of Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughter, Katlyn of Des Moines; grandson, Raymond of Fayetteville, NC; a brother-in-law, Michael and wife Neoma Winn of Keokuk.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Wyaconda Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice.

So very sorry to hear about the loss of a wonderful friend and cousin. Our visits to Canton and local area will not be the same without a visit to see Charlotte. Truly miss both of them.
