She was born the daughter of Rudolph and Lila M. (McKinney) Mellott on January 31, 1961 in Adair County.

Sharon married Gary D. Shoop on January 24, 1987. He survives.

She was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis. Her steadfast faith and loving nature were the cornerstones of her life. Sharon was known for her radiant presence and unwavering kindness, touching the lives of all who knew her. Sharon’s resilience and strength were an inspiration to all.

  19. This breaks my heart. Sharon and I underwent similar surgeries around the same time. While the recovery for her was a little more extensive than but mine, she never hesitated to reach out and check on me, pray for me and keep up to date on my progress. She was always rooting for me. She truly was a special lady. ♥
